Where does the time go...

It is amazing how time flies when life pulls you away from your favorite things!

So, I'm still working overtime on Cthulhus...lots of them.  This little guy was from last weekend, but he is joined by two more brothers.  All ready to be painted and accessorized!

I went supply shopping yesterday, using a coupon at one of my favorite supply stores.  When I got home, I was all ready to do some creating, which Arkham was obviously going to supervise.  However, we ended up having an impromptu dinner and night out with friends...which to be honest, was much better for me!  The creativity was able to percolate and I have even more ideas than before.

Today, I went with a friend to our local fairgrounds for the weekly flea market.  They were also hosting a gem/mineral/fossil show in one of the buildings.  I was so excited to talk to vendors, get some great deals and find these awesome Megalodon teeth.  The one on the left will be for my dad's birthday in a couple of weeks.  The one on the right I am going to practice wire wrapping with and create a necklace for myself. :)

Lastly, my friend and I wandered into the yard sale section of the fairgrounds and I stumbled across this beautiful Lenox witch kitty!  Isn't she perfect?  I am absolutely in love with her...she has such a mischievous smile.  And yes, that is a vintage Tupperware cake storage container in the background   I found it for a $1!  I did a happy dance...I am not ashamed.  I love vintage Tupperware.  How did you spend your weekend?

Work Table Wednesday

I have a lot of things on my work table right now!  The holidays are fast approaching and I find that I have a project every single evening for the next two and a half weeks, if I am going to stay ahead of the game and have everything done in time for the holiday parties.

My grandmother's birthday is this Sunday, so I sent her a package today containing some cute jigsaw puzzles, which she loves, as well as these goodies...

She is receiving a wall plaque I made out of polymer clay with pearlized powder, a beaded bookmark and two sets of earrings, including some gorgeous blue lace agate from CrysallisGEMS that I made into simple drop earrings.

Santa Cthulhus' are finished and drying with their shiny metallic sheen.  Maybe they should get candy cane staffs ;)

Our dog, Kallie, has not been amused by all of the frantic creating or holiday shopping.  She would rather take a nap.  So would I....she is a very smart doggie.

Work Table Wednesday

Wow, last week was very exciting!  I have now spent the last few days, sorting through my supplies and trying to figure out what direction I need to focus on next.  I have a craft fair that is coming up the first week of November and it was requested that I make more earrings, so I had to hunt down all of my supplies that I have not touched since May.

It can be amazing what you stumble across when you are cleaning and reorganizing your stash, like this white turquoise that was given to me.

If you ever want truly exceptional stones/gems/minerals to work with, then you simply must check out CrysallisGEMS on Etsy.  Deb has the most amazing pieces and is just a wonderful person to do business with.  I received these gorgeous Prehnite pieces from her last week and it made my day!  I am eagerly stalking my mailman for two more sets of Prehnite, as well as a couple of beautiful Lapis.  So, these currently sit on my work table, waiting for me to decide just how to accentuate their natural beauty. :)

They are just so beautiful and I could not get a good enough picture to truly do them justice.  They shimmer beautifully in the light and you can practically see through them and all their layers.

CrysallisGems has several wonderful items in her shop and you should definitely check them out.  Here's just a few!

But, maybe you don't have time to make anything with these gorgeous items.  Well, Deb has that covered with her other shop, CrysallisCreations!  Here, you will find some of the most beautiful jewelry and wire-wrapping that I have ever seen.

Her eye for colors and combinations create some of the most unique, one of a kind pieces that you could ever imagine.  Click on any image to go directly to her shop page on that item!
